SPEAK is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
The human capital that makes up our team and community is the most valuable asset we have. The collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, unique capabilities, and talent that our employees invest in their work represents our culture and our mission.
We recognize that diversity is found in any social identity such as age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status. We embrace and encourage these and other characteristics that make our employees unique.
We see Inclusion as the process of involving, accepting, and valuing all people in the workplace regardless of their differences and social identity.
SPEAK diversity and inclusion initiatives are applicable to our services, practices, and policies on recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; transfers; layoffs; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of diversity equity that encourages and enforces:
- Respectful communication and cooperation between all internal and external stakeholders, including employees, partners, investors, clients, and suppliers;
- Teamwork and employee participation, permitting the representation of all groups and employee perspectives;
- Work-life balance through flexible work schedules to accommodate employees’ varying needs;
- Employer and employee contributions to our communities to promote a greater understanding and respect for diversity.
All employees of SPEAK have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. All employees are expected to exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion. Any inappropriate conduct or behavior against others will immediately result in a poor performance review and a consequent improvement plan.
Employees who believe they have been subjected to any kind of discrimination that conflicts with the company’s diversity policy and initiatives should seek assistance from a manager.
The management team of SPEAK undertakes to review this Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policy periodically, adapting it to new organizational, environmental, or market requirements which may arise, as well as to communicate it to the organization and to make it available to interested parties at all times.
