We are inviting you to join us on a daytrip to Aizkraukle at the middle section of River Daugava.

This is the period of the nationwide 'Home Cafes' event series where local volunteers and professionals welcome quests and provide remarkable food.

Aizkraukle town is located by the river and is near one of the power stations on the Daugava, contributing to the renewable energy supply of the country. While the power station's museum is currently closed, we can take a look at the structure from the shore.

We are taking the 9.48 train on Saturday and therefore the meeting is scheduled for 9.30. We are meeting at the Narvesen/Laima Clock area of the Central Railway Station (inside).

There are plenty of buses and trains back to Riga in the afternoon.
Weather is expected to be splendid. The day out will involve some walking in urban and nearby areas.
