Do you love learning new languages?

We have amazing games planned so that you'll be able to learn words and cool expressions in other languages. We will do the language exchange in Spanish, Catalan and English.

You'll also have the mission to teach something from your mother tongue.
Most important, it's a nice chance to meet new people :)

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Set up like 'speed dating', you will be assigned a table number on arrival, opposite a native speaker of the language you are learning. You will speak one language for 7 minutes and then the other language for 7 minutes and then move on to speak with another person. It is a great way to improve your language in an organised and easy going manner. It is also great for networking and meeting new people.

SUPER QUICK FAQ:
1 - Is it speed dating?
No. We use the speed dating system for the language exchanges, which means one side of the table there are Portuguese speakers and on the other side native speakers of a different language depending on the section.

2 - Is it FREE?
YES!

3 - My level is not good, can I still participate?
Yes! The person opposite you is usually in the same situation as you. People come to help each other! So whether you are an absolute beginner or fluent in the language you are learning you can participate.

4 - What do I need to talk about?
Whatever you want! It is a very easy going environment... we also put conversation topics on the tables to help you out.

5 - How long does it take?
We start signing people in from 7:30pm hopefully everyone will be seated by 7.45pm we finish at 9.00pm. We can stay around after that for a chat and a drink!

6 - What happens if there is an imbalance in the numbers?
If there is a case where we have more of one language then we do 2on1's. We never do more than 3on1's.
